Maj Gen (Dr) Vibha Dutta, SM Director & CEO, AIIMS Nagpur is an internationally recognized pathologist-scientist-humanist-leader in the field of Pathology and Oncopathology.
Maj Gen Vibha Dutta is an Alumnus of the prestigious University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), Delhi from where she completed her MBBS. She joined the Army Medical Corps on 30 May 1983. The General Officer acquired her post-graduation in Pathology from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. She then got her training in Oncopathology from the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and thereafter completed her PhD in Oncopathology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. She is trained in Liver Transplant Pathology from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), United Kingdom.
She has been a Professor in Pathology in the prestigious Army Hospital (Research and Referral) and AFMC, Pune, with several national and international publications to her credit. She has mentored many PhD students of the University of Pune as a PhD guide.
Honoured with several awards such as Chief of Army Staff Award, COAS commendation and Marvellous icon award, she has a rare distinction of being awarded Sena Medal by the President of India for lifetime contribution to subject and profession.
